The past four years have been a slow, concentrated effort to reorganize the architecture of the Managed Portfolios website to reduce disruption, increase usability, and prepare for future improvements.
Quarterly Performance Reports Deployment
As more advisors use Managed Portfolios, the work grows exponentially and our processes weren’t scaling. For the past six years, not a single one of our quarterly performance reports was mailed on time. We approached this problem using service design techniques reducing waste by 70%.
Risk barometer concept for comparing an investor to investment.
Risk Score Studies and Assessment
People are terrible at assessing risk and we often react in response to loss aversion. It’s even harder for financial professionals to figure out an investor’s tolerance to risk. In order to reduce the knowledge gap between advisors and investors, we studied how people understand risk and respond to loss. Then we explored new ways to test for risk tolerance and visualize risk profiles.

Global Managed Portfolios Website
In response to an aggressive deadline, we workshopped the initial design of this site to capture feedback from all the various stakeholders. A template that would have to work for the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and India, it would have to be flexible for a variety of needs rooted in cultural and regulatory differences.
