This app took grand prize at Hacking Health.

Problem

Patients with chronic disease often need frequent testing. In Canada, test results must be delivered by the doctor. The combination of frequent testing and doctor appointments creates stress on time for patients and doctors.

Approach

• Talk with stakeholder to learn legal requirements

• Talk with patient to learn needs and medical routine

• Design architecture and library system that can be adapted across diseases and compliance

Keep It Simple

Important notifications at the top and simple navigation so the patient can quickly access their test results, a guide explaining the results, directory for locating services, and a chance to give us feedback or find help.

Test Results at Hand

The patient can see their most recent results and go back to see previous ones, too. Abnormal test results are flagged for review. Each item is easy to read so the patient can quickly scan for important information.

Access Detailed Results

Clicking on an item expands to show the data behind the results. Abnormalities are highlighted for clear data. Your numbers are also shown in context of previous and newer results showing any trends and patterns in data.
